A Primer.

Hello to All,

To those of you who don't know me, my name is Silver Stratton: alias Silver-Streak. Before this post gets a billion questions about the obvious, yes -- my name is Silver. For the sake of this blog, I shall simply post under my alias. I am hoping to focus this blog upon the world of video games, whether it be news, reviews, or my personal opinions or ideas on the gaming world in general. I do not know at this time if I will be doing the reviews and editorials alone or if I shall draft other people to join me.

I will attempt to be as unbiased as possible, and I currently own consoles from Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft, among others. My belief is that the Next-Generation Console War is a sham; the creators of the next-gen consoles themselves are not what are important, nor the next gen-consoles themselves, but the next-gen games released. Gaming consoles are means for people to get entertainment. They are not sports teams, they are not pizza makers (à la New York vs. Chicago). They are simply a means of providing entertainment.

Anyway, I didn't create this opening post as an editorial, so I'll end it here. I should have a poll up soon asking the readers what their favorite genre of game is, so I can get an idea of what to review first.

Edit: If anyone can find me a blog template that is gaming centric, it'd be appreciated: perhaps a template with Mario, Sonic, Megaman, Samus, Snake, Dante, etc.
